Why is Python called Python?
If you’re bewildered by the title of this post and the constant references to SPAM in Python tutorials you must be less than 1 hundred years old and not realise that the Python programming language was named after the 60s/70s alternative comedy show ‘Monty Python’s Flying Circus’
Note: SPAM was originally some sort of very pink, processed meat. This sketch is thought to have been responsible for junk email being referred to as SPAM (something very annoying)
In Python an ‘argument’ is a value passed to a Function (a re-useable piece of code) so here is Monty Python’s Argument Clinic
